With my colleague Georgios Chatzistelios we had the pleasure of accompanying our School of Mechanical Engineering - NTUA students on a truly insightful industry visit.
Within the scope of #Risk #Management & #Business #Continuity course we witnessed:
🌉 the iconic engineering, operations, and maintenance of Gefyra, Rio-Antirrio Bridge, experiencing how it feels to be under this emblematic mega structure (where most of the engineering miracles happen!) – thank you Panos Loukas for the wonderful insights and walk-around and Efi Nikoletou - Niki Sipsa for the tour.
🛣️ the high standards of #safety and #quality demonstrated by the Traffic Control Center of Olympia Odos (Athens, Korinthos, Patra, Pyrgos, Tsakona motorway) where people are monitoring travellers’ safety 24/7 – thank you Michail Angelopoulos for a wonderful presentation and Sofia Stamou / Andreas Galanis for organising our visit - also thanks to Mr Oikonomopoulos and staff for sharing lots of technical details of the center.
☕ the strategic growth approach of Coffee Island a local coffee industry that evolved at a global player in no-time. Thank you Achilleas Lazarou for sharing your passion and insights and of course for being such a great ambassador of #Achaea Region Industry – your help in putting this industry tour together was huge!
